When I started wrestling “Salt” into a halfway decent draft, I really began to like the poem. However, I did not know how others would receive it. Well, I guess people are receiving it well, because it has been published twice in a row now!
My poem “Salt” has now found a second home in the Fevers of the Mind online series (which may become a print anthology someday) Avalanches in Poetry 2: Writings & Art Inspired by Leonard Cohen. I have been spinning a lot of Leonard Cohen lately, so this is fairly appropriate. “Salt” takes inspiration from Cohen’s songs “The Future” and other records of his from that period.
Please go read “Salt” and then stick around to check out some of Fevers‘ other pieces.
