During this whole Coronavirus pandemic, I’ve seen a lot of people on social media throwing out that tired cliché, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” I understand the sentiment, and I appreciate the positivity, but if you don’t even have access to basic necessities, this is probably nothing more than an old and meaningless proverbial phrase. We can still have some humor about it though!
“Lemonade”
Life and people throwing lemons
and my friends say,
“Make some lemonade!”
But I require sugar,
and I require water,
yet in the middle of this desert
I ain’t got bread nor place to pay.
