Like much of the poetry I have published at The Flummoxed thus far, I wrote these haiku for a creative writing class in college.

Everybody was
Haiku writing. It was a
Little bit fright’ning!

Life will beat on you
And knock you down with fury.
We’re all in the ring.

You think you know love;
You think you have found your love,
But then love appears.
